Add/Change the Slide Avatar or Voice

How to change the avatar or voice for a specific slide

Add or Change a Slide's Voice or Avatar

Note: on desktop the button will display to the left of the slide

Follow the steps below to customize the voice or avatar for a single slide.

Access the Voice/Avatar Option:

Locate and click on the avatar icon. This can be found in your timeline editor to the left of the large slide previews (or above on mobile). Alternatively, you can also find the button located above the active text box in the Narration section.

Select a Voice/Avatar for the Slide:

A pop-up modal will appear. The "current voices/avatars" are all the voices and avatars that are currently in use within your video. You can see all available options by clicking on the "View All" button at the bottom of the modal.

We will also mark which of the current avatars are used as the 'Default' and which are 'Recommended'. If you wish to change the Default Avatar or Default Voice you can do so in the 'Video Settings' tab as shown below.

Note: to change the Default Avatar you must have an avatar displayed on the active slide

If you have changed avatars or voices or specific slides, changing the Default Voice or Default Avatar will only change slides using those Defaults (custom slides will be left as is).

You can also preview voices by clicking on the circle next to their name as shown below.

Recommendations:

For the best results, we advise not mixing the avatar gender and voice gender, as well as using only one avatar per voice used. Warnings will appear in the avatar slide if this is the case to notify you of the issue. These warnings can be ignored if you wish to mix voices and avatars in this way.
